Safe haven. High-quality care. And hope.

Each year, hundreds of children find a safe haven and HOPE for the future at the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter. Beyond meeting their basic needs, our comprehensive services include individualized case management, counseling, education, medical and dental treatment, life skills training and trauma-centered care.

Rescue, Rehabilitate, Reunite, Adopt

Our Mission is to rescue and rehabilitate the lost and homeless animals of the City of Bella Vista.  We provide food, shelter and medical care for animals in need until they can be reunited or adopted into loving homes. These are animals that would otherwise be left to search for food and defend themselves against predators.

From Rescue to Refuge

We believe big cats are predators, not pets or entertainment for the masses.  They and other exotic and native wildlife deserve to live out their lives with dignity, allowed to be the wild animals they instinctually are. We will continue to be their voice, both for those forced to live in captivity and those struggling for survival in the wild.

We rescue survivors of the Exotic Animal Trade with a focus on big cats and bear, providing them a safe lifelong home with exceptional diets and proper care, while working to preserve endangered species in the wild through public education and advocacy.

Hope, Understanding, Grace, and Success

Our Vision: We envision a world where people are recognized for the things they can do rather than the things they cannot.

Hugs Café is our flagship program where we directly employ adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a café setting.  Jobs at our cafe include server, cashier, sandwich line attendant, sides and dessert assembly, dish washer, host and more. We believe it is important to provide quality jobs that are designed for the individual so that our employees will know personal and professional success.

Watch toddlers and young children. Play is how they learn and it’s no accident that a theatrical piece is also called a play! Play is discovery. Theatre inspires kids’ inspiration, solo and in groups. It builds community while boosting self-confidence. We’ve seen it. A place where young people can jump in and discover, unworried whether things might suddenly go splat? That’s a place they grow!
